I took these photographs of teaching models at Jeevantirth, a non profit foundation in Gandhinagar, India. Due to the construction of large dams in the area, most villagers have lost their water supply. In an effort to promote rainwater harvesting in these villages, the models help illustrate different methods of water collection including well recharging.
It is our hope that the rainwater harvesting system we are building on St Erasmo will serve as a model for visitors and other farmers in the water stressed lagoon.
